Studebaker Avanti & Lark TV Commercial 1963
This commercial features the Lark and Avanti. The Avanti was Studebaker's "Halo" car. It was designed to bring people into the showroom with the hopes of selling them a Lark. The list price for the Avanti was .445, this was Cadillac and Lincoln price territory. A mere 3834 Avantis were produced in 1963. Raymond Lowey, the famous French Industrial Designer and a small team designed this car for Studebaker.

Is Avanti a good brand for water dispensers?

it's the bomb - nice and cold, low wattage - the handles are a bit chintzy, if you have kids, they have to be careful...the hot water feature isn't worth it...you are paying to keep water hot all the time, when you can just heat it on your stove or microwave a lot cheaper...the water isn't really hot enough for soup or coffee anyway...I like it, I just don't turn on the heater part...mine also has a little fridge under the tank, which is handy for beer.It depends of what kind of beer, wine or spirits you are going to put in it. If you are merely using it for water than you have posted your question in the wrong category.I have a 5 gallon/floor model of the same thing. I think it's OK, but nothing spectacular. It gets the hot water nice and hot, but the cold doesn't really get that cold.
I've just unplugged it to save electricity and use it as if it were one of those crock-style water dispensers.
I'm not really impressed.
