What's the difference between Sarkozy and BNP leader Griffin?
Best answer:
There are plenty of people who criticise Sarkozy as well.

As for Griffin, he can't have it both ways. If he believes in freedom of speech then that must mean people have the freedom to disagree with him.

In any case, I can't understand why Griffin gets to appear on a programme like Question Time when he breaks the law every time he opens his mouth, because every time he does so he incites racial hatred. They do, but griffin doesn't confine his fear and hatred just towards Islam.

"Despite the collapse of Soviet Communism, the ideological influence of the 1960s 'New Left' remains extremely strong, particularly in the media and teaching professions." - Nick Griffin, Cults, jets and greed - the frantic rush to 'One World'

"... the law is an ass. A law which says that when you see a building with smoke pouring out of it, you can't shout fire, you can't give a warning, is a bad law. And this is what these various restrictions on free speech, that's precisely what they are. We're faced with the progressive Islamification of the West. The total transformation, destruction of our civilization within the next few decades. And we're warning about it and the government is trying to throw us in jail. I don't apologise for speaking out." - Nick Griffin BBC Interview, 2004

"You give me twenty minutes or an hour, a special programme to dissect the Koran, and I will show you that we have a monster in our midst." - Nick Griffin BBC Interview, 2004

"I am well aware that the orthodox opinion is that six million Jews were gassed and cremated or turned into lampshades. Orthodox opinion also once held that the earth is flat…I have reached the conclusion that the 'extermination' tale is a mixture of Allied wartime propaganda, extremely profitable lie, and latter day witch-hysteria." - Nick Griffin

Homosexuality
"The TV footage of dozens of gay demonstrators flaunting their perversions in front of the world's journalists showed just why so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive." (1999 - writing for Spearhead)

"When the crunch comes, power is the product of force and will, not of rational debate. We have to have a body of trained young men capable of defending our organisation. If people come to crack our heads we will break theirs."

On Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf
The chapter I most enjoyed was the one on propaganda and organisation – there were some really useful ideas there."sarko knows how to speak,
plus in france they got national front (le pen) considered as a far right,
sarko is not that much anti-immigration (at least compared to le pen)
but Griffin has said some many disturbing things and i dunno why,
like comments on holocaust...
Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin - A Missed Opportunity

Article by Gen Wright

The road has been a difficult one since the Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin fight at UFC 101. The day was Aug. 8, 2009, and Griffin was coming off a TKO loss to fellow TUF competitor (The Ultimate Fighter). He was looking to reestablish himself as a Light Heavyweight superstar, and what better way to do it than a victory over Anderson "The Spider" Silva, the perceivably unbeatable UFC champion? Griffin's camp had prepared for five 5 minute rounds. As it turned out, they had overvalued their expectations. The reality fell way short of the 25 minute fight time. In fact, Griffin would barely make it three minutes before Silva would catch him with a punch that not only stopped him dead in his tracks, but also registered as the Knockout of the Night.

Griffin's breakdown after the knockout loss was a very memorable one as he left the ring in tears after speaking frankly and in no uncertain terms about what had happened to him. Two devastating losses in a row made it seem like a long way to fall for the one time Ultimate Fighter champion, who'd beaten Stephan Bonnar in a memorable slugfest at the finale of the first season for the popular reality TV show. Falling to 16-6, Griffin seemed to be on his way out. However, the next two fights would allow him to get back on the winning path as he scored impressive victories against Tito Ortiz and Rich Franklin, both of which went the distance.

With the shadow of the Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin fight still hanging over Griffin's head, he entered into UFC 134 on Aug. 27, 2011, with the goal of moving forward in his fight back to the top. Facing another international superstar with a stellar reputation, Mauricio Rua, Griffin was hoping to advance and perhaps land a rematch with Silva when disaster struck once again. At just 1:53 of round one, "Shogun" Rua would assault Griffin with strikes that would have him seeing stars in no time.

The loss was a grim reminder of what happened on that other August night two years ago. Since the Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin victory, Silva has survived one close call against Chael Sonnen, but the near-loss served as a wakeup call that would lead to his seeming rebirth as a dominant competitor. Silva followed his last minute submission victory over Sonnen with impressive knockouts of Vitor Belfort and Yushin Okami.

For the time being, it looks like Silva has used the post-Griffin time to solidify his dominance, while Griffin has struggled to remain relevant in the ranks of the UFC. Only time will tell what the future holds for both of these great competitors inside the Octagon. Perhaps we'll see an Anderson Silva Vs. Forrest Griffin rematch. That would be worth watching!
